They are solitary and solemn trees but when you walk, if you slow your pace and stop to listen they have a thousand stories to tell you. Because they have been here forever and they know the secrets of the forest.
\nWe called this dwelling Ca’ dal Rugal, oaks in the language of Oltrep\u00f2, because it is slightly detached from the others and from its windows you can hold the whole valley in your gaze. When evening is about to come you see the sun go down behind the Montecalvo Church and already the sunset is worth a vacation. And like the oaks this Ca’ has stories to tell, the old terracotta tiles, the salvaged furniture, the small fireplace that has always been in that wall and warmed a thousand peasant winters tell you.
